Ash Die Back
Ash Die Back (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus) is a fungal pathogen which is originally from eastern Asia. The disease has spread from Europe to Britain with the fungus first being found in Britain during February 2012 at nurseries that had received saplings in previous years. It is a highly destructive disease of Ash trees which is characterised by leaf loss and crown dieback in infected trees and can spread tens of miles by the wind blowing spores of the fungus.
Our approach to the management of these trees is essential in providing a safe solution.
TreeSmiths have a team of highly skilled operatives with the knowledge and experience, partnered with modern machinery to deal with dying Ash in a safe and efficient manner.

The infected trees can become very brittle and therefore in the later, more advanced stages of the disease, the trees become unsafe to climb due to the unpredictability of the tree and the risk of failing limbs.
Trees causing the greatest safety risk to the public should be prioritised, these can be adjacent to roads and coupled with our sister company, TrafficSmiths Ltd we can safely remove dangerous roadside Ash.
